I am Brazilian and live in Rio de Janeiro. Nice place, I love here, it's great to live in a tropical country. The lack of natural disasters like hurricanes or earthquakes is also a nice feature.
But obviously the things are getting more volatile. We're facing an unusual cold winter (nothing unbearable, specially if you live in a temperate zone, but you can imagine how the summers will be). I think some shit happened on Antartica and now more cold air is coming to South America. Some cities where the never snow in the south are seeing snow (here). Of course, the rise of sea level will make harder to live near the beach.
I developed this climate change cynicism, I think it's a better way to cope than having anxiety. So what I want is to live the better life I can, given that climate change is inevitable.
I researched here and found some posts about the best American cities to live (here and here) but I am looking for worldwide studies.
Also, I am interested in some more theoretical texts about things like: what does make a place more susceptible to CC? What are some non-geological things you want to find in a place (e.g: energy sources, etc)?
