Bring back random dungeon finder for vanilla dungeons, please.
Post Body

I’ll preface this by saying that when it was made clear that RDF was out altogether, I was pretty bummed. That was my play style back in original Wrath. But I have grown to really love the party finder system. Having more control over party members is great, the social aspect is certainly boosted and travel times to the instance are a non issue, in my eyes.

But for levelling up to 60 it absolutely blows. Having so few dungeons at the current level a player is and the amount of time it takes to travel seems like a big disincentive. Took 1 and a bit hours to do 1 SFK run and I just logged out because of tedium.

Logging into an alt and smashing a dungeon or two is an absolute blast. On original Wrath and retail I’ve made friends that way because if I get a good party, I’ll stick around for a few hours.

I absolutely agree that RDF is terrible for current content - and even in outlands there’s enough people using party finder for it to feel good, but finding a group in vanilla content has been like pulling teeth.

Will the amount of low level alts increase as the expansion progresses? Sure, but it doesn’t mean the other factors aren’t deterring players to do dungeons either. We’ve done the slog of travelling to dungeons without any assistance in Azeroth for years, it doesn’t feel necessary anymore.

What’s your opinion?

TL:DR - party finder is great for 60 but sucks for vanilla. Bring back RDF for old content only.
