A fun few seconds in the game I hope doesn't die due to players.
Post Body

So I try to take my lumps in this game. Pay your dues for what you did in a previous life and get camped/ multiganked. One thing I can not stand though is people cheating others out of what they earned. This has been an increasing issue on my server (Incendius) in just the last week.

What is it I am talking about you may ask? The simple fun of a good deathroll. We have people on our server who make it an act to watch, channels made just for playing with people you can trust and more. I'd hate to see it disappear just because people are finding exploits or simply, its not something you can report since you willingly gave them money or they just /logout when they lose.

I want to go over the 4 ways people have scammed me this week alone. Before people go off on how you should just earn your gold or just don't roll, its just another element to the game and should be allowed to exist. Also I only lost 85g during this time (because i only bet low to try to avoid this) so it seemed extra petty and that 4 different people did this over a dungeon runs worth of gold.

  1. Start low and retaliate.
This one took the most commitment to do of them all. The guy messaged me asked if I wanted to roll for 10g, I said sure invited him. Instantly he cranks it up to 50g, I turn it down and say it was mentioned for 10. We do the roll he loses and I get the gold. Then he says ok you won now how about we do for 40 since you don't want 50 and just won. I say why not and do it, thanksfully winning and he logs out right then. At least I came out ahead here.

  2. The delay pay.
One person lost to me 2x for 25g each, after the 2nd loss they admitted they didnt have any gold to cover that loss so they just needed to go to the mailbox and pull mail out....then they left group and /exit while running.

  3. The Man with no Honor. This lil fella also lost 2 times in a row to me, paying up the first time and saying the 2nd that they would send it later as they didn't have it available. I told them "remember you only have your balls so don't go losing both over virtual currency" he laughed and said no way...5 days later still not received it.

  4. That is the lowest effort but easiest to fall for. The Bank alt to no guild. They will make lvl 1 accounts and name them after guild banks like WoWBank. This one is the only 1 to get away with my gold actually is why I saved them for last. They rolled and won fairly, I gave them 20g, asked again and they lost and /exit without a thought.

After talking to one of the main rollers on our server it turns out that a few people are just making nonstop alts trying to trick people with new names. This is adding tension in what is supposed to be an alliance of friends and family and I want it gone.

If anyone has any ideas feel free to share them. As this is just simple fun people are having with a few exploiting this grey area of doing wrong but not being able to be punished.

I hope sharing some of these methods and stories can help save you from being caught up in it as well and happy rolling to everyone!
