RIP Bear tank from my BFD run earlier today

Post Body

Me and a guildie wanted to run BFD. He's a mage and I'm a priest. We find a druid to tank and two other dps and head there. Nothing was off the whole time, they all seemed nice and relaxed, we were going through BFD not slowly but cautiously. I was barely having to heal for the first half of the dungeon except for the bosses and few larger group pulls. But mostly I was sitting there waiting for someone's health to drop

So I want to emphasize that at no point did this group seem sketchy or reckless. We get passed the areas with nagas and start killing the cultist humanoids and after several pulls that was going smooth as well. We get nearly to the interior room with all the statues where the next boss is and... something happens. I honestly have no idea what because I was focused on health bars and keeping them above 0. But we were in the middle of this pull and somehow got additional NPCs aggroed but the tank was on it and I had mana so we kept going

Seemed to me to be going alright at first but then the fight just kept dragging on and I become aware that my mana was starting to get low. I hit a mana pot and keep healing but this fight just keeps going. And finally I'm oom and we're all still in combat. I have decent regen so I know I can wait for mana and cast another heal but the dps warrior starts dropping. I barely have enough mana to heal one person so I decide to let the warrior die focus all my mana on the tank

But...it just wasn't enough. idk where the adds came from and idk why we couldn't kill them. But I stuck to my role until the moment the tank died. Once the warrior and the druid were both dead I knew it was time to run ( honestly I should have started running sooner but I take my role as healer probably a little too seriously ). By the time I get a little distance from where the fight was I got a little mana back and was hoping shielding and renew would be enough to get me out of the instance. Fortunately they leashed back and we dropped out of combat before they got to us and I immediately hearthed out to safety

To the druid who was tanking for us and the dps warrior, while I know it wasn't my fault, I am truly sorry I couldn't do more to keep you both alive. I did everything I could, it just wasn't enough. I hope you go again...
