Have you ever really pushed professions on HC?

I’m only on my second HC toon and I’m really pushing leather working (currently at 200). 5 more levels I’ll be able to make nightscape gear which is a massive improvement for my rogue (I don’t even have a helm). Am I wasting my time doing professions when I could just keep pushing leveling? Am I going to jump off a bridge once I finally lose this guy?
