Idles for 15 minutes then gets rough

I ran my car for 15 minutes and then after that it was a little rougher for the next 15 so we turned it off. We decided to take it for another test and when we went to drive it, it would die. As in once I started to let off the clutch and give it gas it would just die. However before we ran it for a while I was able to move it just fine to back it out of the garage. And it wasn’t stalling it just died. Should I adjust the linkage to make it tighter?
