Help buying a mini

I have always wanted a Mini but it’s been very difficult to find one. I mean, I’ve been able to find just a couple cars and all overpriced. I’m not an expert in the mini world either. I live in the US (Miami, FL).

I would like to get some advice from you guys. What are my current options? Buy local even with the very few options? Buying online? where can i look at for that? Import it? I’m pretty much open minded as long as i find the right mini (1988 or older) Uhg idk please help, owning a mini is a true dream for myself. I’m sure this a often posted question but I wasn’t able to find anything.
