To Preface this is my first time playing the Classic Fallout games after playing only Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas.

So I was really excited to have finished getting the Water chip from Necropolis and got it to Vault 13. Next goal was to take down the Master and Super Mutants. Already had the door open to Mariposa and Laura had opened the door to the Cathedral to get access to Morpheus. Everything was perfectly set in place. I just needed POWER ARMOR.

Paladins wouldn't give it to me. I did all the tasks to get the systolic modulator for the broken power armor on Level 3, but alas, my repair was too low to fix the armor. I figured helping Talus with the missing Initiate at the Hub would make him happy enough to give me some sweet metal protection. Nope. Just some weapons.

So I guess I'm leveling up till my repair was up. Then FINALLY I put my repair up to 71%. SHOULD BE ENOUGH? no. I GUESS I'm just gunna level more??

Then, as I'm traveling, I come across the junk trader. I decided to chat him up a bit, ask how the towns are doing. Then he says it. About Junktown, The Hub, Shady Sands.. "Last I heard the town was overrun by Super Mutants"

Tears welled up in my eyes and I started laughing. I LOVE FALLOUT but WOW I've seen game overs in games, but wow.
