Why do people hate malaise era muscle cars?

Comments

The biggest reason these are often looked over: These cars were nothing more than visually appealing. The environmental protection laws/fuel crisis during this time period basically made these cars gutless as far as horsepower goes. many of them were very nice looking cars, but they had no more performance than basic economy cars. Many special editions were cosmetic packages that did nothing for performance, as well. Examples include anything “supersport” or “GT” or “boss” from this era. A few of these cars had real power still but were rare even when new.
