Do the production invested in an item have a time limit?
Post Body

I remember reading something about this, but I don't remember where so I wanted to check if it was a thing in VP.

Reason being I often start building something in my capital before I unlock the techs that allows me to build a wonder I want (say Temple of Artemis or Hanging Gardens).

But when I complete the build I've found the thing I was working on doesn't seem to be much quicker to complete.

I'm wondering if I should be using that production to put into growth instead, for example.

Edit: I'm put up a thread for the same question in BNW civ 5 on /r/civ.
