I have my PE and I work as an owners representative and my job involves reviewing designs and overseeing construction. I have 5 YOE and I like this job a lot, but I wish I can do some sort of design work on the side. I want to stay sharp as well as continue to get new experiences and make a little more money. How do I find a part time design opportunity? Do they even exist? I used to do water resources design but Iโm pretty familiar with geotech, site development, and roadway design, although I donโt really have proficiency. Iโd love to do some side work after standard business hours or on weekends.
