Trying to get a Hatchback Sport Touring White 6MT, this is the original quote I got: MSRP $555 whatever fees
I attempted to haggle the $555 fees, I asked him to "remove" the fee by lowering the MSRP.
But he claimed to be non-negotiable: "No sorry unfortunately that is a non-negotiable fee. I have to pay that myself. "
So I just replied with "No worries, thanks for your time. "
And apparently now he's scared:
"Sorry I've been tied up all day with customers. Are you wanting to pass because of the Admin fee?Â
This is a really rare car, and we as a dealership are charging MSRP Admin fee on all our Civics and CRV's. We don't require you to purchase any extra accessories, and if you do the deposit on it you will lock in the price. We are expecting a price increase from the manufacturer, which will increase the price of the car. I don't know how much that will be or when it will happen, but if you lock it in, I will make sure you don't have to pay that increased price.
Just let me know what you're thinking. "
So I told him there's a few good cars coming to town and there are other Honda dealeships out there, I can check what they got for me.
He ended up coming back with a $500 discount, for being an avid Civic Fan, LOL.
My OTD price would be MSRP $55, not including taxes.
I think it's a pretty good deal based on how rare the car is.
Not just need to wait until end of September, hopefully.
The buyers still have the power!
Hope everyone gets a car they want with a fair price.
