First and foremost, I love this game. It's simple to understand, a great time-filler without having to worry about graphics, placement, etc. and takes decent skill to master it. I can officially say I am not at the point where I can call myself a master.
The punishment for a failed raid, especially at higher levels can be detrimental!
Example: Not 30 minutes ago, I had 25,000 civilians, troops, workers, etc. Attacked with 8,000ish troops and lost. I mean I had my butt handed to me on a silver platter with enough leftovers to feed the hungry for a week. I quickly start my 10,000 civilians to be built, time to completion ~1:45.00. In the mean time, I move workers from my farmers, Loggers, and Miners to my military to protect me from wolfs, mobs, and other attacks. In the last 45 minutes, I have been raided twice (lost both) andattacked shortly after by wolves and mobs. I am still an hour until my completion of my 10,000 civilians and am sitting at 8, 748 population total. It hurts mom, it hurts real bad...
Hindsight being a thing, I should have tapped myself back a few thousand civilians before starting a big batch, but man, talk about an eye-opener and a kick in the jeans...
TL:DR - I was cocky, lost my butt, fed the hungry, and am suffering due to my laziness.
