January has been a very quiet month for us in terms of griefing. The Valex corporation has only had to take the pearls of two people, one a minor griefer, the other for assaulting myself.

I think that this peace is due to the extensive snitch network and increased activity in Remnant which has discouraged most griefers from causing trouble. However, I still have some points that I would like to remind everyone of.

Modmail: One thing that makes Remnant such a hard target for griefers is the ability for any citizen to notify all the shareholders at once by simply messaging modmail. This enables us to respond very quickly to any threats against Remnant. I urge everyone to contact modmail if they are ever unsure of someone in town or if they witness griefing or raiding.

Reinforce: Something that always needs to be said; everyone must remember to always reinforce any builds they undertake and any chests they own. Not doing so just makes us an easy target. There is always plenty of stone in the storehouse to do this with.

PVP practice: I am nearly always up for a good fight on civpvp and will do so most days. Any citizen of Remnant is allowed to message me at any time if they need someone to practice pvp with. Many of the people over at our neighbouring town Fellowship also enjoy a good team fight or free for all, and participation in these fights is encouraged.

Finally, as a way of ensuring an even safer city, I am proposing that any new citizen of Remnant is given their own snitch for free to place in their plot. This snitch will be provided by me personally as director of defense, and each new/current citizen can come see me for their snitch.
