This is literally Realms tier. Out-of-touch admins ignoring what the entire active playerbase is saying, resulting in a completely idealistic but impractical change to pearl mechanics. Yeah it would be great if legitimately wrongfully permapearled people could have a better chance at getting freed at some point, but the hundreds of inactive altraider/VPN alt pearls, or HCF-esc hordes, should not have an easy route to being freed. Logging in is literally already the bare minimum someone could do to try to get themselves freed. If you wanna increase pearl costs for actively-costing pearls, go for it, but if someone can't be fucked to log into the server on their 20 VPN alts after 3 years, why should they be freed at any point ever? Like, I know you guys said that we should report suspected VPN alts to be banned pending this change, but the burden of proof to actually show that a suspected alt is a VPN alt is pretty hefty, and that's not necessarily a bad thing, it should require concrete proof of someone breaking the rules to get their account banned. But like, speaking on a practical level, it's just unachievable to maintain this mechanics change.

Please don't kill off the small revival the server is currently undergoing by freeing all the people who actively tried to kill it over and over again, and shilled against it. People are playing again because they are just starting to come back from the hyper-burnout of the Infinity War. If you try to generate activity by sparking conflict again, or by freeing people who will inevitably start conflict again, everyone currently playing will just quit like we did a couple months ago. Player count will go back to 5 alts as none of us feel like fighting the same war for the 4th time this map, and the same couple baddies go around obbybombing every town for the end of server exploration map. Please listen to what the playerbase wants, because at the end of the day, we are the people playing the server. If you make unpopular changes, the masses will just vote with their feet and play something else.
