The second day of the second Civclassic Olympics will be hosted in the Arran borough of the Commonwealth beginning at 5:00 EST today. The featured events will be archery and spleef. To get to Arran travel to Westminster Station, from there, take the rail to Arran, located in the northeast corner. Upon reaching Arran Station, exit to the south under the large Olympic sign. Even if you do not want to play in the games, there is ample room for spectators at both events.

Archery will be conducted one archer at a time, with five arrows. There are four targets, at differing heights and distances. Bullseyes are worth three points, and the outer ring is worth one point. Each target may only count for points one time, the closest arrow to the bull scoring points. Scores may range from 0 to 12. Archers will be eliminated by lowest scores depending on the number of registrants. Each succeeding round will be moved farther away from the targets. Distances to each target are posted at each line. In the final round, three archers will participate for gold, silver, and bronze medals, shooting from a moving minecart with a small window of time viewing the targets. Each finalist will receive three shots, and finish will be determined by each archer's closest shot to the front center target's bullseye. Each finalist will have ample to line up and time his shots, but will be placed on a one minute timer at the request of any other finalist.

Spleef will be conducted with heats of four players. Only iron shovels will be allowed and will be provided. The winner of each heat will advance. Arran reserves the right to use a double-elimination tournament depending on the number of registrants. The blocks of the playing surface are snow. Losers each heat are requested but not required to pick up snowballs and reform snow blocks for the next heat. There will be a short delay between heats to repair the playing surface. Players may not re-enter the playing area after falling through the surface.

An after-party will be hosted at Bridgeview Social Club following completion of today's games. To reach it, return to Arran Station, exit to the north corridor, and follow the signs.
