I find myself in the epicentre of an ancient civilisation--the ruins betraying the memory of an era long forgotten. I have wandered through the great woods of Yakumo, to pray at the ancient temple of Higan. I have climbed the sheer cliffs of Kokoro, to gaze upon what once was. In the distance, I see the rolling hills of a land once called Xia. And here, at my perch, I sit still. The history of this land is obscure--etchings into rock and decaying wood speak of a Kingdom of infinite grandeur. A realm where two bickering houses were but one, united for a brief but glorious moment; a single grain in the sands of time.

Those days are behind us. Gone to brother-wars that have plagued great nations since the beginning of time. So quick are people to forget their families as they fight over the inheritance of lost relatives. So quick are they to claim to be the true successor to an institution or a person they hardly resemble whatsoever.

I look at these two sides clawing at the corpse of a once great nation with utter disgust. Any observer worth their salt, especially those observers most interested in fanning what's already a comically large fire, knows that neither of these rabble-rousers has any business claiming to be the true successor to the Gensokyojin throne.

The Holy Krautchan Empire was ultimate authority over the last legitimate iteration of Gensokyo. This is undeniable. Section 4.3.3 "The Right of Non-Interference" of the Order of the Holy Krautchan Empire, the constitutional document of the HKE, clearly states the Empire can interfere in localized matters "that directly and openly affect the well-being of multiple members, as judged by the Emperor and Electors." It's also important to refer to Section 4.1.4 "The Law of Ordnung", which states Ordnung muss sein.

As this current state of affairs is quite disorderly, one can interpret the lack of ordnung as affecting the well-being of both Gensokyo (obviously) and Grundeswald, as I personally find myself quite shook. In my capacity as both Elector and Doma of the HKE Army, I hereby seize power and declare myself Kasier of the HKE.

I most graciously accept this position. My first act as Emperor is annexing both entities that call themselves Gensokyo, renaming them both Grunsokyo and making the national anthem I made a year ago the official song of the land.
