The current reinforcement system has limitations that prevent it from emulating real life, namely how no mechanism exists for taking over other's people structures and factories. I propose a simple but radical solution:
Make it so people in a group can't destroy their own blocks in a single hit and make factory blocks always be unlocked to all.
How does this fix anything?
By making it so there is no functional difference between being the owner of a wall and a random person we emulate the situation that exists in real life: a wall is equally hard to destroy no matter who you are. This allows people to be able to effectively take over other people's property even if they don't own the original groups.
Give me an example of something new this would allow.
You are now able to conquer a city and have it so the original citizens ย can't take the factories and buildings hostage.
How does this affect the economy?
Iron and diamonds are lost when reinforcing, this strengths the economy and trading by taking excess wealth out of the game.
How can I erase my own builds?
Destroy it or acid block it like everyone else, maturation time exists if you do a mistake.
How do you acid block?
We make gold blocks an exception to the rule.
How do I prevent randos from using my factories?
Put them in a secure room with a door.
How this change pvp?
Defensive structures can now be taken over, if you can manage to replace all the doors, bastions, chests and snitches in a vault or bunker you can claim it for yourself.
How would vaults work?
We make it so iron doors have the strength equivalent to several blocks of dro.
