Diamond Spawning - Problem and Solution

So this is the typical Iron to Diamond ore ratio I'm getting when I spend 2.5 E5U3 pickaxes haste 2 Mining.
As you can see about 1 Diamond : 62.5 Iron ratio and I'm mining all the ores I can find of those two types in particular.
So instead of making a cry post about "Fix ur server" blah blah,
I'm going to offer a solution.
The price of iron -> dia used to be about 16i : 1d
So why don't y'all increase diamond spawn rates by 3.5x or 4x the current level to get things spawning at a similar rate as before?
