Hello, it's me, annoying Pole, back again to beg you!
To start off, I'm incredibly happy Piłsudski won the leader vote. This means that Poland is the strongest civ in the region. Really. Now, lemme prove it. If you haven't read the previous post, click me!
Let's start with who you should definately NOT vote for.
Lithuania - it's buggy, AI isn't too competent and overally isn't the best civ to choose.
Latvia - oh man, I hate to say it, but it's not a well designed civ, it simply doesn't have anything too unique about it. AI is really poor to. Avoid at all costs.
Kazan by calcul8tor - it looks good, but when you use it in game you at first get repelled by horrible colours, and then by a poor AI.
Cumania - as much as I love this civ, I don't like it used in CBR. It works pretty well in small games, but not in big ones. The reason is, it likes to blob out quickly, but is eaten shortly afterwards most of the time. It's like a glass cannon, first it captures many cities, and then crumbles.
Trypillia - they simply aren't aggressive enough. They have great bonuses, but for a human player. AI simply doesn't use them well enough and doesn't expand enough. Not the worst choice, but not the best either.
The "mediocre, but votable civs": Pskov, Moldavia, Great Perm, Kievan Rus, Novgorod, Teutonic Order (some may be confused with this pick, but I've played with this mod many, many times, and von Salza simply is shit at expansion. It's not likely he would achieve anything.), Livonian Order, Hetmanate, Scythia, Prussia and Tatars, in that order from the worst to the best.
The good ones:
Muscovy: great AI, great uniques, and CBR without Russia wouldn't be CBR. Simply must-pick.
Goths - one of the best mods for civ in history, great AI, uniques which Firaxis would've probably put into the game, simply great, aggresive civ (and many Rome sacking flair possibilities, plus some shitposts mixed in).
Poland - now I finally get to talk about the elephant in the room. Look at my first post for the uniques breakover and why they are so great. I'll focus on what I haven't talked about, and that's history. Piłsudski was one of the most badass rulers not only in Polish history, but I'd dare to say that in Europe's modern history. He did so much for Poland and Polish nation, more than anyone could say. He is pretty contoversial, as he had almost fascist rule, but thanks to that Poland regained most of it's territory, had great education and economic opportunities. Fortunately, he died before he could see what his successors did and how they wrecked Polish chances of defending against Russia and Germany. Thanks to his rule Polish army defeated much larger Bolshevik army, and pushed back into Russian territory ON HORSES. He was a great ruler, if you are interested you can check out more informations about him.
Another factor is pretty nice in my opinion shades of red as civ colours, but it's probably just for me.
And the final deal - if Poland wins, I'll sing Polish hymn AND Rota, which are Polish patriotic songs. And I can't sing for shit, so you'll probably have a great laugh. I really, really want to see Poland, let's do it guys, please.
