Of the 195 UN member countries, only 38 do not have a mod representing them in the steam workshop- most of those being island nations and microstates. Of the 156 countries with a population greater than 1 million, we are only missing 20, which means you can start up a game right now as Lesotho, Latvia or Azerbaijan.

The largest country which is not represented by a mod at the moment is Sudan\*, the world's 35th largest country, with a population of over 45 million. The ten largest countries we are missing are:

1- Sudan- pop. 45 million

2- Malaysia- pop. 33 million

3- Ivory Coast- pop. 29 million

4- Cameroon- pop. 28 million

5- Niger- pop. 25 million

6- Malawi- pop. 21 million

7- Guinea- pop. 13 million

8- South Sudan- pop. 13 million

9- Honduras- pop. 9 million

10- Togo- pop. 8 million

A few interesting points- the largest country in Europe we don't have a mod for is Moldova (pop. 2.5 million) although you can start a game right now as Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco or San Marino.

All South American nations are accounted for, largely thanks to Vivala's Guianas Civ Pack, which includes the playable civilizations Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname.

The largest Asian country not accounted for is the Maldives, with a population of 300k. In the Pacific, we are still missing a civ for the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, although you can play right now as Bougainville, as well as Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, and Micronesia and Palau.

I hope this shines a light on the incredible modding community we have. A great deal of these mods are interesting to play as well as exotic. There is only a month left til the end of the year- but I wonder if in that time, we can finish off the list? In that case, a battle royale might be in order...

*You could argue the largest country missing a civ is actually Colombia, as they are only represented by Gran Colombia in the workshop, and their territories are not a 1:1 match- but I feel this is clutching at straws.
