Epic Speed vs Standard

I've been jumping between both game speeds in recent months. What I find is that, for domination games I love epic speed. I love more time with early game units and UUs. However, for Diplo, Science or Culture, epic speed just drags on too long. In a recent Diplo Netherlands victory, I just found myself just sitting there waiting forever for the World Congress vote. Just curious what speed do you guys on r/civ usually play and for what victory types.
