New to Civ V, having trouble figuring out a good opening, as well as some other key stuff.
Post Body

So I just started playing Civ V about a week or so ago. I've been able to pull off a Science and Cultural win so far, but only on Warlord. I didn't really have any type of plan when I started those games though, other than the fact that I knew what type of win I was going for. I just kind of floundered my way through the opening parts of the game.

This isn't really working on Prince though. I know to go for luxury resources quick, and have been selling them early to buy an early Settler. I almost always open with a Scout, then go into a Monument and a Worker. Been going down the Tradition line as well.

I'm having a hard time figuring things out from there though. I'm never really sure when I need to be getting more cities. I'm just never sure when I need to focusing on what I have, or when I need to be building or buying more Settlers.

I guess I'm just looking for some general advice on openings. I'm playing on Prince, but I don't want to fall into a bad habit or something that absolutely won't work on higher difficulties. I already don't spam wonders and only build which ones I need, so that shouldn't be an issue later on.
