I was heavily under armed where Japan had a much bigger army/navy and it was mostly on my continent(they had two cities on my continent most of their cities were on another a ocean away and they had 1000 more military points? I just know it as they were stronger by a lot) and they go to war when I was not ready for it at all. I use one nuke on one of the cities so I could block of a passage way to one of my cities west of the nuked one. They have at least 6 tank armies and two ranged missile units and could have easily taken out three of my cites but they didn't. They just sat around it not doing anything and just sent themselves into the land while pillaging three things. I did have a air force and used them and the two tank corps I had to wipe all the tanks and ranged missile units within 7 turns. I'm on the hardest difficulty and they didn't use their army right at all. Used water when they should not have(made easy targets for my machine guns stationed on the west city.) The biggest issue was their navy who only took out a submarine and a missile cruiser. I ended up winning the war, taking all their money and being payed 300 per turn while keeping the two cities on my continent(I conquered them during the war) and I was considered the warmonger when I was the one who invaded and ended the war. So like why does the AI suck at using the army right?
