Late gmae crashes

so im not sure what the issue is. anytime me and a buddy get to late game one of our games crashes. we found out that originally it was when the whole map opens after the satilights when using the larger map sizes mod (Colossal or Gigantic) so we got the mod that disables that and it worked. then we got a crashes when the global warming would do stage one. so we got a mod that mad global warming not happen. now it keeps crashing for my friend and we have no idea why any help would be appreciated.
