Celexa and Metoprolol?
Post Body

26M. Overweight but active. Have had heath anxiety for the past year or so. I was prescribed Celexa 20mg ten days ago and have been on Metoprolol 25mg for around ten months. I noticed a few days ago that my heart rate and blood pressure were much lower than normal. My BP averages 110/67 and my HR is between 62 and 72 resting (sinus arrhythmia).

The part that concerns me is when I lay down to go to bed at night my HR drops into the mid 50s and sometimes into the 40s for a few seconds. Another concern I've had is when I go for walks and stop to check my HR it drops from 85-90 to 60 pretty fast. Normally it would've taken at least a few minutes to drop back down and it would never go that low while standing up previously.

This all may be normal but for someone who has lived with near-constant heart palpitations for the past year, it feels very weird. I don't want to get off the celexa though because it has damn near cured my palpitations.

I called my cardiologist this morning to see what they think but am still waiting to hear back.

Edit-ive been monitoring my HR at work today and have watched it go down to 57-55bpm at least 3 times while at rest.
