I started on Citalopram in 2019 and was on 10mg a day for 3 years. I felt it was time to come off last year so halved the amount I took (alternate days) in August, saw a doctor in November and made plans to come off by the start of this year.
Within 2 weeks Iād had a big falling out with my housemate at the time and had a manic episode or something, I still donāt know how to describe it tbh. Point is i was in a bad way. Like āfamily almost had me sectionedā bad way.
Their solution was to immediately get me back on the Citalopram, which I really didnāt want to do but I basically had no choice. Iāve been on it 2 months now and I desperately want to come off, but Iām scared of what will happen. I canāt handle the side effects (always hungry, tired, low sex drive etc) but I have no idea what to do next. Any advice?
