It's finally happening. After living with phimosis for a year, I'm scheduled for surgery to address it and hopefully resolve the issue. I'm nervous, but I know it’s something I need to do. In Québec’s public health system—at least in my area—you don’t get to choose the type of procedure (types of cuts) you’ll receive, which I only recently learned. However, I plan to discuss this with the surgeon during my morning consultation.
I’ve heard mixed experiences from others: some say the recovery is quite painful, while others found it manageable. It seems to vary from person to person. For those who’ve had smooth recoveries, what routines or treatments (creams, antibiotics, bandages, etc.) helped you heal faster? I’d really appreciate any advice—feel free to share here or send me a DM. Thank you in advance for your responses and support!
