I knew this Easter felt different. Now I know why. I woke this morning, and the news brought tears to my eyes...
Joe Biden has called 31 March Trans Day of Visibility. The USA has so so many problems at the moment, but President Biden pulling a move like this? Move over Jesus. It's as historic as ending World War II.
With Australia adopting American occasions such as Halloween and Valentine's Day, I think it's fitting we get a four-day weekend for Trans Day - perhaps make it 5 days to celebrate Easter.
So today, Easter Sundayy -when you're at church with your head bowed downward, don't forget to look up at a disco ball and recognise Trans Day.
