My gf became a fundie.
Post Body

My girlfriend and I had been dating for about 3 years. We were very close and shared many of the same interests (Old school video games, smoking trees, reddit). I was actually getting ready to go buy a ring; I thought we had something real. But she had a religious nut job for a friend, some girl from her childhood who moved back to the area. They started hanging out more and more, and I slowly felt her being drawn to the dark side. After a few months, she started going to CHURCH with her, and reading religious propaganda, it was making me sick! She assured me that it was just her trying to understand what religious people believe in, but I was worried. Fast forward a few more months, and she stops having sex with me. She starts getting more and more irritated when I berate christians for their idiotic statements. She stops smoking trees with me and wouldn't let me come around if I had been. Eventually one day, she pulls me aside and starts trying to freaking CONVERT ME! Before she can even go on, I look her straight in the eyes and say "If you don't believe in the superiority of science and reason to the ridiculousness of blind faith, we can't be together." and walk right out of there like a boss while she's just shocked and beginning to tear up. She hasn't talked to me for months now, and I'm fine with it, as she's a crazy fundie now, always going on about god and jesus and crap on facebook. Glad I got out when I could, before she forced her faith on me, still pretty angry about it. Just needed a place to rant, thanks for listening!
