How much light do correction gels cut compared to LED's that are bi-color?

I started saving up for an Aputure 300D ii, but I saw a video of the 300x and it made me rethink which one I should get.

On one hand, the 300x is more convenient since it's bi-color, on the other hand, the 300Dii is considerably brighter.

The 300x at around 5600k has the same output as the original 300d (20% dimmer than mark ii), but at either 2700k or 6500k, the 300x is as bright as a 120Dii.

My main concern is, if I gel a 300Dii to make it 2700k or 6500k, would that take away a considerable amount of light? And would it still be worth it to go for the 300Dii?

I realize it might be a noob question, thanks in advance for the suggestions.
