Thread size on tilta mirage matte box for LWS support

Hi all,

I bought the Neewer mini matte box and noticed it has a 1/4" 20 thread with arri locating pins on the underside, and so I went looking for a 15mm LWS rod support mount that would be compatible. I discovered the Tilta 15mm LWS Support for Tilta Mirage, and double-checked the thread size in their user manual and sure enough - it says 1/4" 20 with locating pins. Bingo, right?

Wrong. When it arrived, the screw is actually much smaller. Bummer. The manual lied to me.

So before I go ahead and return it, I was wondering if anyone knows precisely what the thread size is and if maybe I can put an adapter on it to bring it up to the right size?
