ISO inclusive yoga studios
Post Body

I am exploring a move to Cincinnati.

I would love to live near an inclusive LGBT, fat friendly, diverse yoga studio that honors yoga’s roots.

I’m not looking for an all white, all thin, all straight savior white woman yoga studio (or the many problematic issues that come with that environment).

Any recommendations?

Edited to add:

There’s nothing wrong with being a “hot, skinny, blonde woman” doing yoga.

But in those environments, there’s a lot of “oh honey! You did great for your first class. It’s like you’ve been doing yoga for years!” And “$200 mats are the best, and we sell them at the front along with all our merch!” And, a lot of signage and symbols that disrespect, don’t acknowledge the meaning, or simply don’t make sense..: but studios use it looked “yogaish” and slap it on their logo without any research.

Yoga is for everyone, and I like to attend classes in environments that reflect this.

I’ve been doing yoga for years. I’ve completed my 200hr yoga training.

Jewish Community Center in Amberley. Super-inclusive, great instructors.
