My buddy bought that building and duke energy wants the property...thats all. I own property downtown, I owned property around the zoo, and I'm sitting on property up in franklin because they're building a Riverwalk. I buy property that's in the way of progress, you want it....pay me. Somebody else owns the outside and that's permitted for alcohol but trust me, they're holding it to sell to Duke energy, you can't stop progress. If it was my place, I'd move but I'd tell the city they owe me for moving cost, potential losses, my liquor license, etc. The city already told my buddy to evict them and 3cdc guaranteed him that they'd have a spot ready to go in there. Taking them back to court is a way of bleeding them dry. It's always more to it than meets the eye. If you take that spot and move it to Roselawn no one would care about capacity, late nights, etc. City can't even stop your car from getting vandalized by 12 year olds...its a joke downtown.
