Advice for humidor maintenance

Can I run a humidor with a humidification device with boveda packs without watering the humidification device? Or will the humidification device without water suck up the humidity that the boveda packs give out? Basically wondering if I should put my humidification device into my humidor if I already have a couple of boveda packs in there already.
Thank you for any and all advice! New to cigars so I greatly appreciate it!
