So we got a coworker who just turned 21. Somehow, subject ended up on Cigars. (We work sales, and its extremely slow this time of year.)
So, in the showroom we just chatted about it, and he asked me. “What do you NOT do at the lounge?”
Which lead me thinking If I missed any unspoken rules, or if theres rules ya’ll peeps think should be rules.
What I said was 1. Don’t sniff the cigar unless you paid for it. (And its out of cellophane.)
Don’t bitch about your job non stop.
Don’t criticize someone for what they enjoy
No one cares about the cubans or pricy cigars.
Don’t go on and on about taste notes when no one asked. (Personal pet peeve. When me and friends are chatting, and someone comes along describing EVERYTHING about their stogie.)
If you use the store lighter, and empty it. Offer to fill it
Don’t try to sell or use the place as a networking spot for work.
And lastly, don’t be a jackass. Don’t argue politics, religion, or the likes. All here to smoke.
I know milage varies from lounge to lounge. Any I missed?
