Cider taste like vomit, any ideas?
Post Body

After all of my apples have been made to cider, happily fermenting, I wanted to experiment with store bought juice. I was recommended some that supposedly is made from nothing but pasteurized apple juice (Aldis Pure Fruit).

Added some sugar, nutrients, and pitched hydrated EC1118, and placed it in a room that was 17-20C. Then I waited. It has fermented dry in a weeks time, and sampling it, it first taste a bit like orange peel with a quite strong after taste of vomit. Most unpleasant.

Do anyone have experience with this? I was considering some MLF bacteria to promote that, but I'm unsure that is the issue as I've never experienced that off flavor before.
