I have a cider in the carboy fermenting with ec-1118 from OG 1.061. 10 days or so ago, it was cleared and I raked it to get it off the lees. Much to my surprise it was at SG 1.010, but at that point I had discarded the lees unfortunately. Now 10 days later it is still at 1.010.
I've never had this particular yeast be this fragile, it always pulls through. So anyone have tried to restart it? I was thinking rehydrating a new pack of ec-1118, and add a bit of sugar. Let it sit til fermentation begins, then gradually over a few days add some of the stuck cider until it in total is 0.75L, and then add it all back to the carboy.
Anyone have tried this? I'm debating if I should add a little bit of nutrients as well.
