I’m currently working on a session mead with cherry juice, and have plans for other meads, skeeter pee, and generally colorful batches that I think would look good in clear capable bottles. My local homebrew store sells cases at about $1.25 per bottle, which I guess is okay since it’s not that common, but I feel like I could pay a bit more for bottles filled with something. Does anybody know any good US brands of cider/beer/other drinks in bottles that are (1) clear glass, (2) not twist-offs, and preferably (3) generic/not branded/not weird? Trader Joe’s used to stock a rosé cider in bottles perfect for this, but they now just have cans; Stella Artois makes cider in clear bottles, but their brand appears on the bottles and I’m not sure if they’re twist-offs or not. Alternatively, is there somewhere else I should be looking for cheap empty bottles?
