Hey y’all.
I wanted to share some positivity with my journey. A lot of times I turn to Reddit when I’m at my lowest, so hopefully this is encouraging.
I’ve been suffering with epididymitis symptoms for over a month and it completely shook my world up in a short amount of time. I was healthy, going to the gym, and roller skating. I was having sex without any issues.
My symptoms were testicle sensitivity, pain in testicle from ejaculation, and pain in hotter temperatures. It got bad. At one point it was burning and felt like a rash. I could barely move some days and needed painkillers to function. I was mortified not having any answer, and it was taking a toll on my mental health.
I’ve been to urgent care and the emergency room twice, 3 urologist visits, had several STD and urine tests, prostate blood test, 2 ultrasounds, and even a full body CT scan. Everything came back normal!
I was put on cipro for 14 days then doxycycline 10 days as a protocall. Cipro had no noticeable effect. Not sure if the doxy really helped.
I also started incorporating pelvic floor stretches since this all started but didn’t really notice a difference. I included adductor stretches. At one point I thought this was making it worse.
BUT I started this routine last night testicle pain, lower back, pelvic, SI mobility except I used a foam roller instead of the basketball.
Having the foam roller on my adductor caused EXTREME pain and pressure in my thigh, but it didn’t give me any testicle pain. I did the exercise in the video and felt some relief.
Then I decided to foam roll my adductor on the high pressure points for about 5 minutes and Y’ALL. I think this is it for me. I think my pain is from a pulled adductor muscle putting pressure on my pelvic muscles and causing the testicle pain.
My urologist also prescribed me meloxicam for inflammation and I’m on day 2 of 10.
I’m feeling really hopeful and will keep this post updated along the journey.
Stay strong everyone 🙏🏼
