Can't update Chrome, getting errors?

I've been trying to update Chrome every time it prompts me to for months on end and it all seems to be going smoothly until I get near the end of the installation and receive an error saying that Chrome cannot update. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing it with the latest version off the website and still nada.
