Chrome losing connection to internet a minute or so after start up. Common troubleshooting isn't working

Post Body

If I boot my pc up chrome will load some pages, but after a minute or so it loses the connection. All other browsers are fine. Edge and I downloaded firefox and those both worked fine.

It just says " ERR_CONNECTION_RESET " when I try to load a page.

Things that I have tried and failed: clearing cache, reinstalling Chrome, disabling all extensions, disabling VPN (connection came back for a few seconds but vanished afterwards).

I have also tried switching my router on and off and disabling various internet protocol and nothing is working.

Any other ideas. I really like chrome and I do not want to switch, even thought it would probably be easier.
