I use Chrome (Windows 10) with four different identities (profiles), one for personal use and three for different volunteer roles that I have in the Google Workspace for Non-profits that I administer. I open multiple browser instances (windows) one (or more) for each role. This segregates volunteer roles, so I can pass each one to a successor without confusion. I use a different theme color for each role, so I don't accidentally respond from the wrong email account. I use this color scheme:
- Personal: Blue
- Webmaster: Light Green
- State Emergency Response Team: Red
- Mass Mail account: Yellow
When I initially start Chrome, or wish to add a browser instance for a new identity, Chrome presents the Profile Picker screen, which will be shown below. It seems that Chrome randomly picks the colors; it would be less confusing for me if they matched the theme colors I have assigned. I'd like to modify the appearance of the Profile Picker screen I don't mind a little hacking (hex patching) of configuration files, but I'm not sure where to start. Any advice?
