What are your favorite themes for Christmas trees? I don’t just mean color combinations (although those are fun, too), but actual themes. I love looking through magazines near the holidays because they always have such creative and beautiful themes. However, we’re so far away from Christmas!
I love trees that are decorated in a coastal theme. I’ve been saving small pieces of driftwood to put together to make a small Christmas tree for my bedroom. I’m trying to think of other coastal ideas to decorate it after I make the tree. I’ll probably string together small seashells for garland and see what else I can find at the beach.
I’ve also seen some spectacular Harry Potter trees. One of them used a sorting hat on the top of the tree. Of course, they are always covered in decorations based on the books. Another tree I saw in a book used bees as the theme. It was covered in small bees made from felt and had little vials of honey on the tree. The author had also used some type of wax or something to make small honeycombs.
I can’t wait to hear about trees you’ve seen or ideas you have!
