I've been playing on the Civcraft server (mc.civcraft.vg) and made a home in the Christian community of New Covenant. The town is in the far north (-13.8k) and high up in the forested mountains. The political structure is Christian anarchy, and there is room for new residents. Hope to see you there!
Warning: It's a long trip from the spawn point and the server is modded to severely limit resources and mob spawns. I probably would have starved on death if I had't found some apples along the way.
PS: The server runs 1.5.2
