We have a few city parks we frequent and if there aren’t many people or other dogs around (and nowhere near traffic), I’ll let her off leash to chase squirrels when we find one. Always close enough to a tree so it can escape, plus she won’t move so I have time to catch up.

Today we were at the park, no squirrels. But someone had an RC car. She took off after it, forgetting she was on leash. She’s done this a couple times, I need to buy one. It was hilarious, I really wanted to ask the kids if they’d mind indulging her but it felt weird.

One day, we were in our front yard, just sitting and watching. She’s leashed because I’m not that person. She decided to go after a motorcycle. What the hell?? Thankfully she got yoked back by her harness. So now I’m super careful when I hear a motorcycle and make sure she’s retracted (always a back clip harness, never on her collar).

(Yes, I need to get her trained)

Anyway, she cracks me up sometimes, especially with surprise zoomies. She does an army creep right before and she spins and flips. I’ve had her just over 2 years and she still does stuff to surprise me.
