I started the process to become an ESL teacher about 6 months ago and it's been about a month since I signed on and they started a work permit application. The schools HR is now telling me my TEFL is causing my work permit application to be endlessly delayed because it doesnt include offline classes or my middle name (my fault in filling it out, but it was still legalized by the consulate). They're suggesting I apply to another school, but I dont have the money/time to re-legalize my TEFL and non criminal, which apparently expires after 6 months. What do I do? Wait it out? Rush to sign on with another school? Is it even possible to fix this or do I have to give up on trying to be an ESL teacher for atleast 4-5 months?
