As a young child in the US in the mid 1980's I had a book I loved and must have read 50 times. In my memory it was a large book, paperback, about the size of an encyclopedia volume. Every page had an article about some interesting phenomenon. There was a page about lemmings and a page about the Pinkerton Detective Agency. It was like an encyclopedia for kids. The title was maybe something like the Book of Knowledge. I remember as well that there was a binding or printing error and a page was missing. I don't remember specifically any of the other entries but I presume it was the standard stuff: dinosaurs, astronauts, etc. But the content was a little offbeat. Anyone know the book?
