I just got home from my consultation appointment and I am feeling on cloud nine! I found Dr. Courtney Browne (Carmel, IN) from the doctors list in this sub and she is amazing! This was my first time meeting with her, and all she did was confirm my medical history and my desire for permanent sterilization; no questions about why, a partner's opinion, etc. She explained that she does permanent sterilization via laparoscopic bisalp (which is exactly what I wanted) and said she would be sending the approval to the scheduling team today.

Our conversation was all of about 5 mins long, but I would rather spend 5 mins with a doctor that wholeheartedly respects and supports my decisions than spend 50 mins being bingoed by a doctor that doesn't respect bodily autonomy.

Sterilization coming as soon as mid-January 2023!
