I know this topic has been touched on a lot in this group but I just have to say it. It’s heartbreaking when you see a parent who’s so giving and the (adult) child just treats them like crap. My mom was telling me about her friends (adult) daughter who treats her like crap and the daughter has a child who’s basically the mothers responsibility because the daughter is showing early signs of abuse towards the grandchild. My mom thinks there elderly abuse going on verbal and psychical. The daughter depends on her mom for everything even though she has a job. I understand we were all raised differently and have our own traumas to deal with but damn this is the lady that’s has your back no matter what.

It’s so crazy to me because the daughter and I are both only children and we both have a different views on gratitude. For me I’m grateful for my mother and would do anything for her but my moms friends daughter is so ungrateful and nasty. She’s someone I would never want to meet. I know my mom is low key happy I’m child free, she’s free to do whatever. The mother is so miserable with the daughter, my mom tries give her some positivity but she’s so beat down.

Sad how a child can you make you miserable.
